I while back ago I bought the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold from Samsung. This was a phone that I really enjoyed using but I was disturbed in some ways when I was using it. This is the good, the bad and the ugly!
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold was a very unique device. At the time I was testing the smartphone, I was thinking that “this is how foldebles should be built”. Mainly because the aspect ratio of the inside screen was feeling amazing! All of a sudden it was enjoyable to watch videos and movies on a foldeble (then the Fold 8 came out I know I know).
But I wasn’t enjoying using the TriFold with one hand with the cover display. I felt that the device was to heavy to use with one hand and to explain I almost felt like I was holding a brick. Not nice! But the look from people when I unfolded it on the subway and so on…that was a really funny story! People was looking on it like small kids is looking on a candy they really like!
The device felt very fast and it was cool to be able to have three apps open side-by-side, but it wasn’t something I was using to be honest. Instead I’m so used to the traditional foldeble so I was using two apps side-by-side, and to that the inner screen felt to big.
Galaxy TriFold was one of a kind and honestly I’m sad to see that Samsung decided to stop manufacturer it. I really hope they will come out with a new version of it in the near future.
